"The Project Lab is a safe place for encouragement, resources, and companionship for my project."
"The Project Lab is an incredible experience that almost miraculously 'makes stuff happen'; the stuff you have wanted to happen and just couldn't seem to find the time or focus. It's accountability without pressure that is great for creative types."
"The Project Lab is a group of creative people helping each other actualize their dreams."
What is the Project Lab?
The Project Lab is a nine-month program for accomplishing stretch creative projects. The structure of the lab provides a challenging and nurturing environment for accomplishment. Project Labsters benefit from tools and activities which encourage action and learning, and from the camaraderie that results when a group of people take the plunge on projects that are important to them, and support each other in doing so.
What kind of projects do people do in the lab?
The Project Lab is for those dreams you passionately wish to realize, but haven't yet taken action on. Perhaps you are not sure how to proceed, perhaps it has seemed too scary to commit to, or perhaps it has just been too difficult to do on your own. Here are some examples of projects that people have done in the Project Lab:
-
Create a first solo CD
-
Start a new business
-
Take a business to the next level
-
Find a life partner
-
Write a novel
-
Discover a spiritual path
-
Accomplish a desired work transition
-
Attain a new level of health, fitness, or well-being
What happens during the lab?
The labsters do their projects! And they also:
-
Meet monthly for facilitated workshops
-
Meet with their pod (small group of labsters) at a jointly-agreed on time and place twice a month to support each other on their projects
-
Have two 15 minute phone conversations weekly
-
Design results for their project and take action on them
-
Maintain a learning log
